Our Chefs......

Chef Vishant Das.= Guchhi is a dream I have had for many years. Having worked in India for 10 years, I earned my hospitality management diploma in New Delhi and worked in the Grand Hyatt, learning the skill and trade to become an excellent chef. My career progressed to its happiest time whilst in Goa working with the best fresh seafood India has to offer. In Goa I learnt home style Indian cookery, using no colourings or preservative and only using the most natural herbs and spices. I then had the opportunity to come to the UK to study the British style of cuisine and work with Loch Fyne Restaurants, providing me with the knowledge to combine my love of both Indian and Seafood in a style which all cultures will enjoy. I open Guchhi to share my love with the community. I hope Edinburgh will love it as much as we do.

Chef Sachin Dhanola =Born in the year 1975 in New Delhi, India. I always had a passion for food. So, it wasn't at all surprising that I decided to be a chef and spend my entire life in igniting the taste buds of people across the globe. I began my career as a chef with Ashok group of hotels in 1998 as a trainee food production and further sharpened my skills under the watchful eyes of legendry master chef Kharak Singh. I move to U.K in the year 2003 and joined Harlequin Restaurant. (Largest Indian restaurant chain in U.K) Finally I decided to venture out on my own and open my own restaurant that would bear my signature style of cooking which by now has attracted and fascinated many people visiting my restaurant. Guchhi is the baby that I always wanted that would offer the best seafood in Indian style to all and sundry.
